It's becoming clear that Xavier has a lot of letter recognition. He correctly recognizes letters such as N, C and T, as well as most vowels. Really, the only letters he confuses are letters that look like such as A and H or letters that he doesn't see very often (k). Those will come with time.
It is amazing. He notices letters everywhere. Signs that say US MAIL are U-S-M-A-I-L. It's fascinating to see his mind light up. Soon the goal will be to attach sounds to those letters and start him on his path toward reading... but for now I think he will be happy with letters. just letters. Maybe the alphabet song too.
