Bath time was feeling crowded, so after last week's bath his tub of animals went on an unannounced vacation. For some reason, their existence in the water with minimal human-toy interaction due to an overpopulation of toys was the cause of their (my) stress.
Xavier was upset when he realized they had gone without leaving notice of their return. After realizing he still had 10 toys at his disposal, he calmed down. However, the next day that he found their vacation spot... above the shower in a corner that at his height he shouldn't be able to see. How did he find it you wonder? Did he grow 10 inches overnight? Did he move his ladder in order to look for them? No... he looked in the bathroom mirror. He found their reflection in the corner of the mirror and instantly knew it was them. Seriously, he's a born detective.
There's no hiding from him anymore, but when they come back from vacation I think his water wheel will hop on a jet to the beach...
